Congratulations Elk Valley Wild Bantam House on Winning the Banner!

The Wild Bantam House team won five straight games to take the banner in Kimberley. The championship game was full of excitement, but the Wild never fell behind. Final score: 3 - 2 for the Elk Valley Wild over Cranbrook!

1st Hugh Twa Hockey Day in Elkford a Huge Success

Conny Twa at unveiling

Our first Hugh Twa Hockey Day in Elkford was a great success. In this picture, Conny Twa accepts the plaque presented by Josh Lee and Jake Beranek.

The day was filled with hockey fun - the skills challenge, a mini sticks arena in the banquet room, and three on threes.

Thanks to Trevor for putting it all together, to Alex for the on-ice assistance, to the parents who helped upstairs, and to all the players for showing up and having fun.

And thanks to Teck and to Headwater Equipment, whose generous donations made it all possible.

Elkford's Outdoor Rink is Good to Go!

Elkford's new outdoor rink is ready and will be open Saturday, December 16th.  The rink will be open every day with the following schedule:

Shinny -                 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Public Skate -         1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Shinny -                 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Please follow the rules that are posted at the rink.

Snow on the rink when you get there?  Not a problem!  There will be shovels hanging on the fence.  Do your part to keep our community rink free of snow!

Vacancies - Positions Available

We have some vacancies on our board, and we need your help!

High Country Rep

The High Country Rep meets with other Associations to organize league schedules for our pre-novice and novice teams. This is a great way for hockey parents in the younger age groups to get involved in our Association.

You don't need experience, you don't need to be fanatic about hockey (although that helps) to get involved. There are experienced people on our board that will help you through your orientation. So if you would like to help, please call Kevin at 865-2372.
